A new restriction to avoid the overcrowding of vehicles in order to protect the natural environment and take care of the safety of people in the event of an emergency.

Roses has started for the third consecutive year, the temporary limitation of access to the Cabo de Creus Natural Park for four-wheeled vehicles or higher during the summer period of greatest tourist influx, is to say, from today, July 15, and until August 31.

A very important restriction of access to the coves of the Natural Park “to order the space, avoid overcrowding, which becomes a threat to the natural environment, which is very fragile and sensitive and, therefore, it is important that for part of the City Council and the Natural Park by applying this measure to demonstrate that it is a place of very important natural and scenic values”, stated the director of the Cabo de Creus Natural Park, Ponç Feliu, noting that “at the same time, the limitation of Access guarantees visitors a more pleasant stay in this protected natural environment”. A measure that also applies to the safety of people in the event of an emergency, such as a possible fire, for example, so that can circulate and access the Fire Departments.

In addition to the limitation of vehicle access between the indicated hours, the parking of vehicles is also totally prohibited in all the coves of the Natural Park between 00:00 and 06:00.

Authorized vehicles and responsible declarations:

The time limit is set for vehicles with 4 wheels and up, with motorcycles, mopeds, bicycles being able to circulate throughout the day, as well as the following types of users, who will not have access limitations with any type of vehicle:

– Owners, relatives and visits to property and property owners (statement signed by the owner and visitors)

– Service companies for activities and owners, including collective transport services (statement signed by the owner and visitors)

– Ranchers

– Workers of the activities that operate in the park (statement signed by the owner of the activity and the worker)

– Clients with reservation of the activities that operate within the park (it is necessary to prove the reservation)

– Companies with a license to carry out their activity in the park (tourist train, …)

In the case of customers of establishments and companies in the Park, you must show the corresponding reservation at the access control point.
